International Account Manager

What will you do?

As an International Account Manager, you are the main point of contact for our international key accounts. You are responsible for managing and growing client relationships while actively identifying new business opportunities.

You work closely with clients on a strategic level, gaining a deep understanding of their business and translating this into tailored solutions. You develop account plans, lead negotiations, and ensure strong internal alignment to deliver excellent results. Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of international key accounts
  • Act as the primary contact for all customer-related matters
  • Identify new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans
  • Lead tender processes and contract negotiations
  • Align with internal teams (support, product, engineering)
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions
  • Develop and execute (annual) sales plans to achieve targets
  • Represent VBR at international trade fairs and client meetings

What do we ask from you?

You are commercially driven, independent, and capable of building relationships at different levels within international organizations. You combine a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach. Other requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent level)
  • 3–7+ years of relevant experience in a commercial role
  • Experience with international sales, preferably in a technical environment
  • Experience with value-based selling and complex sales processes
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • High proficiency of Dutch and English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
  • Valid driver’s license
